Hi, I’m George Kanjere.
I’m a local dad, and a long-standing resident of Darebin, with kids going to school and soccer club in North-West Ward.
I’ve been a long-standing activist for saving the Preston Market – the heart of Darebin – along with Gaetano Greco, who was a friend and mentor.
I’m standing as an Independent candidate for North-West Ward, to offer a proudly community-driven voice on Darebin Council.

North-West ward has been served by Darebin’s most popular Councillor – a man who knew the community and the issues with a depth that only years of loyal, committed service can give.
I was lucky enough to work alongside Gaetano, but I cannot say that I know you, the residents, or your issues, anywhere near as well as he did.
