I hope many voters in North West ward are already following the Save the Preston Market Action Group, which fought successfully to prevent the demolition, and is now fighting to put this beloved place into public hands. This is a campaign that, due to Cr. Greco’s leadership, has received a lot of support from Darebin Council. We have achieved a huge amount, and due to our efforts, the Market is not under direct threat of demolition right at this moment. But a strong voice is needed on Council to keep the pressure up and keep both Labor and the Greens accountable to the community. I am a strong independent candidate with no party affiliations and a deep connection to the community of Preston and its surrounds. I understand the issues and have been fighting on this front for years, and I’m the right person to continue Gaetano’s legacy in protecting our beautiful market from harm.
